GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION
Rulindo District is one of the five districts that make up the Northern Province of Rwanda. It shares borders with Nyarugenge District and Gasabo District in the City of Kigali; Kamonyi District in the Southern Province; and Gakenke District and Burera District in the Northern Province.
Rulindo District has 17 sectors, 71 cells, and 494 villages. It has a population of 360,144 inhabitants, including 188,295 women and 171,849 men. The district covers an area of 567 square kilometers, with a population density of 635 inhabitants per square kilometer.
