Governor MUGABOWAGAHUNDE Maurice Visits Key Development Projects in Rulindo District

This Friday, the Governor of Northern Province, Mugabowagahunde Maurice, accompanied by members of the Executive Committee and security officials, visited key development projects in Rulindo District to assess their progress and contribution to the socio-economic development of the area.

Among the projects visited was the Nyacyonga–Mukoto Road, which has reached 71% completion. The road is among the development commitments made by President Paul Kagame to the people of the Northern Province.

Once completed, the Nyacyonga–Mukoto Road is expected to strengthen connectivity between communities in the Northern Province and the City of Kigali. It will also facilitate the movement of people and goods, improve access to markets and services, and contribute to local economic development.

The delegation also visited the Muyanza agricultural site, where they assessed ongoing activities and the potential of the site to contribute to increased agricultural productivity and improved livelihoods for residents.

The visit provided an opportunity to assess progress on these strategic development initiatives, identify areas requiring further attention, and reinforce collaboration among local authorities, security institutions and other stakeholders in ensuring that development projects deliver tangible benefits to the population.

The Northern Province leadership continues to encourage close collaboration among government institutions and communities in accelerating the implementation of development projects and ensuring that they contribute to the transformation and well-being of citizens.
